Ally and Pat’s bohemian wedding | Krantzkloof + Bellevue

Ally and Pat had promised each other an extraordinary life so when Pat received a job offer abroad, they grabbed it and brought their big day forward! For these free-spirited, nature lovers, the forest was the perfect place to commit their love to each other – and they embraced every drop of their February rainfall! As I wondered through the trees to their ceremony, I heard Ben Howard playing and that’s when I thought, ‘Man, if I ever get married again, this is the way to do it!” Ribbons blowing in the breeze and a handful of friends and family. Shortly after Pat kissed his bride, the heavens started bucketing down and we raced to the nearby hut to close with a candle-lighting ceremony. I would’ve understood if Ally wanted to remain indoors but our beautiful, bohemian bride was keen to go exploring – even in the rain! Gosh, but this made my hippie heart so happy! Ally and Pat danced in the forest and soaked in their first hour as husband and wife on a misty mountain top which was so fitting what with their passion for rock-climbing. After the last few rays of light slipped away, we headed to Bellevue for dinner and dancing and again, Ally and Pat bust out the most awesome tunes. If I wasn’t so soggy, I would have definitely danced the night away myself! To Ally and Pat, thank you for making Jon and I feel so welcome. Thank you for being so wonderfully relaxed in that crazy weather and thank you for just being you – we think you’re pretty wonderful! x
