Tala Wedding: Bella and Mzwa are married!
You might recognise my beautiful bride from such places as…the news! Bella was the senior political reporter for the eNCAnews when she met Mzwa. To quote their wedding story: “She is most confident and comfortable in front of the unblinking eye of the lens. He thrives creatively behind the lens, interviewing movers and shakers from all over the world. But there was one on-camera beauty he couldn’t keep his eyes off – long after he was meant to stop recording. So with storytelling as their inherent passion … their love story began in one take and promises to be a classic hit.” Ahhhhh, man! My heart is filled with joy for these two. Watching their families join together… words are escaping me. All I know is that those speeches had me in tears! And I kept thinking, “Madiba would love this, Madiba would looooove this!” I wish he could have been here to witness this proudly South African love story which saw two people of completely different backgrounds join together under a great big Fig tree. Now, truth bomb! I was a little nervous to shoot this wedding knowing that half the party was from the telly! But everyone was sooooo nice and fun and down-to-earth. To Bella, Mzwa and your gracious families – thank you for inviting me to document your special day. Thank you for being such troopers even though it was freezing and kept threatening to rain! Thank you for being so kind and welcoming. I will carry your story in my heart forever, x
