Kathy and Jack’s Brighton Wedding!

Kathy and I have been friends since we were seven! When she first asked me to shoot her wedding, I thought she was just being nice and I didn't want my friends to feel  like  they had to ask me just 'cuz we're buddies. But... she persisted and I was like, "I haven't shot a wedding before, I can't do this, my friend!"  I was so, so grateful for her invite but I hadn't even started this biz yet. As her wedding drew closer, I asked our mutual buds who she had asked to shoot her wedding, knowing that you have to book togs almost a year in advance. Bron replied, "She's waiting for you to say, yes." I was like, "What the what!" Kathy just had this blind faith in me and I'm so grateful for that because I got to go to the UK and shoot my bestie's wedding! Her buddy Martin, and his wife Tracey were also snapping on the day so that put me at ease, knowing that between us all, we would get the shots. Martin spent the morning with the guys, and I hung out with the girls. And what a day it was! Kathy and Jack live in Brighton and everything about this wedding was just so them from the colourful sunnies to the roaring party that culminated with Kathy running into the sea in her wedding kit! My school gang was there and we danced and danced to all our favourite songs. It felt like living ten New Year's eve parties in one night. Oh, and Jack and Kathy's little daughter, Erin was in the mix all day. She had been so excited to wear her white dress but come the morning of the wedding, she kicked it off in a fit of rage - it was priceless! The Saturday also happened to be Kathy's birthday and she only managed to get Erin down the aisle by letting her hold a giant "Happy Birthday" balloon. Totally classic. Kathy and Jack, from the bottom of my heart - thank you for letting me share in your most incredible wedding. It was - amazing!
