Laura and Chris | Barker Manor
When Laura first called me, she told me that she’d recently lost her dad and my heart just broke for her. She also told me how her fiancé, Chris had been a huge source of strength to her. Like Laura, Chris had also experienced a tragic loss and together they found comfort in their love. And even though they were dealing with so much, Laura persevered with the wedding planning because she literally had been dreaming of her wedding since she was a little girl. There was even a scrapbook with pictures of eeeeeverything! She knew what flowers she wanted, what sort of dress she wanted. It had to be a garden wedding and it had to be fun! And oh my gosh, what fun it was. Laura bravely walked herself down the aisle and when Chris saw her, he just ran to her. I was crying. The guests were crying. It was the most beautiful moment. Now Laura and Chris have the most incredible family and friends. I have never seen a crowd cheer a couple on like these guys did! They literally belted out jokes and words of support during the speeches and threw their arms around Laura and Chris all night long. The party was so wild, I had to stand on a step ladder to shoot at one point, haha! I am so happy that these two were surrounded with love and joy. They deserve only the best that this world has to offer and I am deeply grateful to them and their families for inviting me to share in the magic. Thank you, Laura and Chris. May your forever be as bright as your beautiful wedding x
