Ozzie and the gang!

Guys, meet my gorgeous buddy, Bron, her soon-to-be hus, John and their precious little Oscar! Can you handle those curls? It's just something else. Bron and John are getting hitched in the UK later this year, and if my visa comes through, I'll be there to join them! They've been here on holiday so we got together today to take some family snaps before they head back home on Sunday. My friend, Bridget was there to assist me and she did a stellar job bouncing light while making squirrel noises and dangling banana peels in front of Oscar - which he loved! Now, I have a confession that Bron won't mind me sharing. I prepared for this shoot as if it were an exam! See, I've only shot a handful of families before and let me tell ya, it's a totally different game to snapping couples. Turns out, kids move, a lot, and quickly too. They cry. They scream! They eat anything within grabbing distance. I guess it's got something to do with them being teeny tiny humans and not knowing what the heck a shoot is! Also, moms and dads are naturally very concerned about their small humans so they tend to be pre-occupied with wet wipes and toilet time! I recently realised that I had to get better at all sorts of things in order to keep snapping families. So this week, I chatted to other togs. I read my camera manual (snoozefest) I studied Youtube tutorials. I asked my boyfriend to run around our garden as if he were a five year old! And I feel like all the practise paid off because today went really well! It also helped that Bron and her fam were super chilled and up for loads of pics - we just made to sure to take plenty of breaks for Ozzie. So thank you Bron, John and Ozzie! Also, thank you, Bridget who always steps in to help me when my Jon is watching the cricket busy. Before I duck, I'd like to wish you all a beautiful Easter.
