I’d always been a creative kid. I loved art, I loved guitar and I was determined to tour the world with Green Day! After that proved to be a little tricky, I decided to study advertising. As a writer and ideas human, I got to dip my toe into TV, radio, digital and lots of other fun things. In 2008, I headed to London for a year of work and travel. While there, I was given a point-and-shoot camera which I took everywhere! I guess you could say I was falling in love with photography as I was falling in love with London. When my visa expired, I returned home and immediately bought my first DSLR. Then, I started a blog! I would share scribbles and photographs from my daily life in Durban until my work life got super busy! For two and a half years, I was the head writer for one of South Africa’s most-loved fashion retailers and while I loved my job, I longed to spend more time taking photographs. So in Feb of 2016, I decided to invest in some gear and follow my dream. Which finds me here. Writing this page! As a lifelong romantic, I can officially say I am living my dream. Nothing makes me happier than capturing those ‘can’t-this-last-forever’ moments. And when I’m not taking pictures, I can be found nesting at home and cuddling my bunnies.
