Wedding Inspiration ~ Enchanted Love

This was the day that all my childhood dreams came true! I have always loved fairy tales. I have always loved autumn. I have always loved old houses and big rambling gardens. And I absolutely love shooting in my hood. So how this all came together… a few weeks ago, I met Kayla, our model when I went to snap her and her boyfriend, Matt, ahead of their matric dance. When I asked Kayla who had done her hair and make-up, I was blown away when she said she had done it herself! There and then, I knew we had to do a shoot together. She was so sweet and just a dream to snap. Shortly after, I received an email from Lauren Judith asking me if I’d ever be keen to do a styled shoot. I was, I was, but I was just knee-deep in editing. A few days after that, I dropped off my niece at the home she was about to move out of. Wow. I had never seen it in the day before. It was the home of my dreams! The owners were about to restore it to its former glory so I rushed to ask if we could possibly shoot there before work began. They kindly agreed and the next thing you know, we had thrown a styled shoot together in a matter of days. I sent our squad a very minimal ‘brief’ and could not believe how everything came together! No one knew what anyone else was creating so I was amazed at how well everything tied together. We all had the best day, hanging out, eating cake and popping bubbles. It truly felt like a modern day fairy tale! I would just like to give a massive shout-out to my mom who arrived at my house at 5am to help me pack. I had been man-down with flu the day before and thanks to my mom, we all had coffee, tea, juice, treats, mugs, a kettle – you name it. Then, I would like to send huge bear hugs to this incredible team who pulled out the stops at a moment’s notice:
